Allison Hinko, M.D. – Napa Ophthalmologist

Dr. Allison Hinko is an ophthalmologist serving the Napa, CA community by treating a broad spectrum of ocular diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Hinko graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in English Literature and attended medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. While in medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Her essay, "The AMA and Health Care Reform," won a Helen H. Glaser student essay award, and she received the Professor Daniel A. Koechel Scholarship for her superior academic performance. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Hinko completed her ophthalmology residency at Ohio State University. In 2014 and 2015, she presented research from her numerous studies at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) national meetings.
